About my blog

” Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living. ”

Mary Ritter Beard

This is a blog about my junior year of high school, which is not your average junior year of high school. This year I am living, learning, and smiling thousands of miles away from my home town in Oakwood, Ohio, to live life as a rotary exchange student. My exchange is in a small town on the French Rivera called Mouans-Sartoux, just thirty minutes away from the center of Cannes known for the annual Cannes film festival. My host club is Grasse rotary, whom I cannot thank enough for hosting me, and of course my host families as well.

This year I am not here as a tourist, and I am not here to focus on my studies. I am here to learn the culture, language, and way of life of the French.

Let the living begin
